I Can't Forget

Statistics, it's all bull****

Did you know you can prove anything using statistics?

Statistics has never solved anything for me in my entire life.

Are you sure there is money in that?

Poor Places

I moved here 10 years ago. All I have now is Jesus Christ.

Keep the bricks there, they prevent the bugs from crawling up my bed post.

Close the window. The wind tends to blow the rain in at this time, and I cannot stand up to close it myself.

This pail goes here, that one goes there.

I don't like the food they bring - it's very fishy.

I have to lie down every so often.

You mean the gate is finished?

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots

Charles remains quiet as they fuss around him. The children squeal with delight as they pet him. One of them pulls his tail accidentally, but he does not react. He listens to his partner discuss the weather.

Charles remains quiet as the fire rages. His partner is nervous but alert, looking out if someone is trying to break through the barricade. Behind them, a movement unnoticed by his partner. Charles' hackles raise. A blur of fur and then a piercing scream. The rebel drops the Molotov cocktail. His forearm is bleeding. Charles is growling, the man's forearm between his jaws.

Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want

It just doesn't work that way. You have to ask nicely, and give them a chance to say no.

Who exactly are you asking, by the way?

Who Am I (What's My Name)?

The little boy asks him what his name is. In between piercing the bait with the hook, he answers, "My name is Johnny.". He does not speak extra slow, does not look up and does not even wait for a reply. He treats the little boy like an adult, which to me is evidence that he has children of his own. The boy scoots off, having lost all interest by now.

Smack My Bitch Up

99.9% of the time, he is trying to get him to control his crying. This time, he is trying to make him cry harder than ever, and to remember it. He puts on a mask and yells at the boy. The boy starts off wailing, but then starts to whimper, terrified. He cannot understand why this man, who allows himself to be manipulated in so many other situations, is suddenly so frightening.

The father walks away to let her comfort him. He feels a great deal of guilt. Was it too much? Was he in control? He has several drinks to drown out the moment, to forget the pleading look on his son's face. He convinces himself that since his father did it to him, it is the right thing to do.

Time Is Running Out

This is quite literally true. We never know when we might fall ill, only that we will. One day we realize that time has passed us by; that we won't be able to get around to losing those pounds we said we would, that the problem we wanted to solve has gotten away from us. There is no one to blame if that happens. However, we are to blame, and only we, if we do not try our best to achieve all we want to.

Do what you can now. We will get the rest we need and deserve later. That is the one thing we do not need to, and cannot, plan for.

Sissyneck

He has the strength, the ability and the knowledge. It is just that he is unable to look down from up there. He can operate an excavator with his eyes closed, just by listening to his partner's calls. He can set up a demolition as safe as it should be. He can mix cement to any consistency you need, but up there where the air is thin.. His legs turn to jelly; his heart beats fast and his mouth becomes dry.

He loves his job though. He loves seeing the apartments slowly take shape, and he feels satisfied when he sees the new families moving in, smiling and excited. He takes no notice of how they only either ignore him, or look like he creeps them out.

He wonders what his mates think of him. Do they think he is not carrying his own weight? Do they have a nickname for him? He knows he is doing his best, but he also knows that the rest cover for him. He compensates by buying drinks and doing favours on the weekends.

Spectre

He glides with a swagger unmatched and talks with a poise that can never be ruffled. When he walks past, you hear your favourite song.

He always knows what he wants to do, and knows a million ways to do it. He has never panicked, because, honestly, it wouldn't help? He wears a pin-striped suit like only he can. He is the most handsome man in the world.

Girl With One Eye

She stands so close that he knows how warm her breath is. He points to someone sleeping at the end of the coach and says, "Look at that guy. Can't he sense that there is a pregnant woman who needs a seat?"

They discuss the latest Star Wars movie. He had watched it in 3-D and cannot stop obsessing about how the glasses did not fit his face. They both agreed that the movie was not outstanding, though.

This is her. She picks up her umbrella that was leaning on the door. This reveals a speck of dirt on the door, which causes her to momentarily freeze. When the doors open, she catches her breath, looks up, and saunters out.

November Has Come

Yes, it's true. You know November has come when it's gone away.

Is this what it has come to?

What do you mean?

Quoting lyrics verbatim.

I thought you meant coming up with the title before the content.
